Mary L Patt

November 26, 1941 — May 14, 2025

Mary Louise Patt of Monticello, NY went home to be with the Lord on May 14, 2025. Mary was born in Bay Minette, Alabama to the late Elvin Jake Valree and Christine Valree on November 26, 1941. She was the eldest of seven children born in this union. She attended and graduated from Douglasville High School.
Mary gave her life to the Lord at a very young age and was a faithful, dedicated and steadfast member of Union Baptist Church for many years. She later moved to Monticello, NY and married the love of her life Nathaniel Patt on June 9, 1963, with whom she had four children. In Monticello, she became an active member of First Baptist Church where she served for many years. Throughout her Christian journey she was led to Little Grove Holiness Church, where she was elevated to Evangelist Mary Patt. She traveled with Love Connection Traveling Ministry for a brief period of time before being led by the Holy Spirit to Calvary Church in 2014. She was an active member of Calvary Church for the last 11 years and in 2018 she was named Spiritual Mother (Mama)of the same. Evangelist Mary Patt was a woman of unwavering faith, whose love for the Lord was shown through every aspect of her life. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture and peace in the promises of eternal life. She shared her faith with everyone any chance she had, and it was evident through her kindness, compassion and an unyielding trust in God’s plan. Her trust in God was unshakable no matter the circumstances and it never withered. Her love and passion for God was evident, through her praise and worship even until her last breath.
The daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend and servant of the Lord had a big heart, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and hosting family gatherings. She found joy in taking care of others for nothing in return and she would not hesitate to give the last of what she had to anyone in need. She was a rock of strength for all her family.
Evangelist Mary Patt is survived by her four children; Elvin Valree (Rose) of Yonkers, NY; Patrick Valree (Leni) of North Plainfield, NJ; Ronald Valree (Tina) of Woodridge, NY; Christopher Patt (La Sharn) of Bronx, NY; and a surrogate daughter Kara Gips (Corey) of Mongaup Valley, NY.
