Maryann M. Bartolomeo, born October 26, 1951, in Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2026.

Maryann was a woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life and, above all, in her family. She was the kind of person who was always taking care of those she loved, making sure everyone around her was cared for and never without a reason to smile.

Maryann had a wonderful sense of humor and a gift for storytelling. She was quick with a joke and always seemed to have a wacky idea for making an ordinary day a little more fun. Her laughter, stories, and unique way of seeing the world brought warmth and joy to the people fortunate enough to know her.

She was immensely proud of her Brooklyn roots. No matter how many years she spent living in Sullivan County, Maryann never let anyone forget where she came from-she was always proudly proclaiming, "I'm from Brooklyn." Her Brooklyn spirit remained a cherished part of who she was.

Maryann also loved spending time outdoors, especially gardening, where she could enjoy the beauty and peace of nature. Whether caring for her garden, sharing a story, or simply spending time with the people she loved, she knew how to appreciate life's everyday moments.

Maryann is survived by her three beloved daughters, Lisa Bartolomeo, Helene Montanez, and Domenica Laker; her nine grandchildren; her three great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Marilyn Osepowicz. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, love, and the many lives she touched through her kindness and devotion.

Maryann will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her family will carry her stories, her laughter, her Brooklyn pride, and most of all, her love, in their hearts always.
