Matthew Zane Leath

Matthew Z. Leath of Monticello, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024. He was 27.

He was the son of Sarah Leath, born on October 24, 1996, in Kingston Tennessee. Matt was raised by his loving Nana Lynn and his Aunt Jo.

Matthew will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile, and love for adventure. He had a passion for heavy machinery, gaming, hunting and fishing, and always had a joke ready to make his friends and family laugh. Matt always enjoyed having a good time, he was one of the few people that like working. Although Matt had no kids of his own, he always knew how to make the kids around him happy, whether he as playing Pretty Pretty Princess, on the playground, blowing bubbles or simply just putting a smile on their faces the kids loved having him around.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Sarah Leath, his grandmother-Nanny Lynn, his aunts Jo Brittle, Misty Litchfield and Samantha Giles McLintock, his cousin Sheyenne Litchfield, his girlfriend Jessica Maybloom, his friends that were more like brothers Dustin Marsh, Joey David, Shain Scott, Allen Ward, Kaitlyn, Jayme Whitted, Jonathan Mendez and his uncle Neil Foley. And a host of other friends.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 11:00am-1:00pm at Colonial Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 South Main Street, Liberty, NY 12754. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12:30pm.
