Maureen F. Cox, a longtime area resident, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 72. The daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Bedient, she was born on October 25, 1943 in Connecticut.
"When we were growing up, Mom was "Mom" to all the neighborhood kids. She was a very giving person and we will all miss her."
Maureen leaves behind her sons, Paul Cox (Rose) of Livingston Manor, NY, John Frassa (Liz) of Liberty, NY, Dale Cox of Liberty, NY and Wayne Cox(Gail) of White Oak, NC; daughters, April Telesky (Todd) of Mongaup Valley, NY and Lori Frassa of Hurleyville, NY; a brother, "Bubby" Bedient of Connecticut; sisters, Joan Robertson of Liberty, NY and Marybeth Vidnansky of Stratford, CT; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell Cox; her daughter, Sherri Oswald and her son, David Frassa.
Visiting hours are on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 7 - 9 PM at Ramsay's funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11 AM at St. Peter's Church, Liberty, NY. Fr. William Scafidi will officiate.
Maureen will be laid to rest with her husband following the mass at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Sunset Lake Rd. Liberty, NY.
