Maureen Kiernan, 92, of Swan Lake, N.Y., passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026.

Born in the Bronx and raised in Newbury, Vermont, Maureen was the beloved only child of James and Marian Kiernan. She will be lovingly remembered by her stepdaughter, Lori, and was predeceased by her cherished partner, Carol.

Maureen lived life with a wonderful sense of fun and a love for the things that brought her joy. She had a special fondness for the music of the 1970s and disco, and she loved to dance and have a good time. She also had an appreciation for a well-made Manhattan cocktail.

At home, Maureen found happiness in cooking and gardening, taking pleasure in creating good meals and tending to the things she grew. She also enjoyed relaxing with one of her favorite television shows, Murder, She Wrote.

Maureen will be remembered for her lively spirit, her love of music and dancing, and her appreciation for good times and the simple pleasures of life. She leaves behind cherished memories that will remain with those who loved her.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
