Mildred Donovan, of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 81.
She was the daughter of the late Frederick VanSteenburg and Blandeana Countryman, born on November 7, 1936 in Kingston, NY.
Mildred loved caring for people, especially her family, so much so she made it her mission to be a homemaker and provide warmth and love for those closest to her. She loved to be in the kitchen baking and cooking, or relaxing watching tv and cartoons. When she wasn't indoors you could find her taking a nice leisurely walk. But above all else she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Candy Fox and her husband Joel, Richard Donovan and his wife Crystal and Betty Rodgers and her companion Ron Wright; her grandchildren Annette Fox and her fiancé Michael Harris, Russell Fox, Robert and Timothy Touhey and Robert Dailey; her great-grandchildren Manieyah, Michael, Nevaeh and Stephanie; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her daughter Karen McGrady and her sisters Geraldine and Margaret.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6pm on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Ramsay Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St., Liberty, NY 12754. A funeral service will take place at 5:30pm at the funeral home. Pastor Ed Sostak will officiate.
