Molly “Chris” Placide was born on October 5, 1992. His birth was a joy to all his family, and his childhood was full of fun, laughter, and love. He was an adventurous child, daring and a go-getter. Learning the importance of “Family” from a very young age.
Molly “Chris” was cherished and beloved of family and friends. She always brought laughter and a little mischief (well, maybe more than a little 😊) making many happy memories for us to keep. Being very close to siblings went without saying. As the oldest child, Molly “Chris” received them with excitement and led the way on all the “stuff” siblings do and some of which shall remain “close to their hearts”. Having so many cousins, there was always lots of fun at family events when the whole squad was around, and these opportunities were always capitalized upon with the cousins that lived nearby, to whom Molly “Chris” was always remarkably close.
Molly “Chris” had a good upbringing and enjoyed the exposure to a great variety of experiences, travel and activities that made for a strong, well-rounded child. She particularly enjoyed Martial Arts. From quite young, a passion for cars and bikes, four wheelers and anything that moved was observed in Molly “Chris”, who loved to take things apart and put them together again. Also, a well-developed sense of the value of her opinion, sympathy, empathy, and a strong sense of justice were readily noted by the adults around.
Molly “Chris” graduated Ellenville High School in 2010. She made lifelong friends throughout her time in school.
Molly “Chris” learned from her parents how to be a good friend; how to work and be discreet, genuine, reserved, and loyal. She often worked side by side with dad doing side jobs and mowing lawns while at school and during breaks. Molly “Chris” also held a variety of jobs and learned new skills and gained varied experience.
Expressing interest in science (pharmacy) and military service, these were areas that Molly “Chris” pursued upon graduation from High School. Attending College, Molly “Chris” continued to work and learn, embracing whatever her hand found to do, and was enlisted in the Army Reserves in which she was in service from 2012 to 2020. She spent a year on tour of duty in Kuwait.
Molly “Chris” continued to participate in happy and sad moments with the family. She loved riding bikes with her friends in the Street Goonz and 607 Motorsports Clubs.
On July 20, 2025, while riding with a group of friends, Molly “Chris” passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident. Molly “Chris” was predeceased by her brother Timothy Placide, and by the grandparents Ulrick Sr. and Sonia Placide and Kathleen Thorne.
