Florence Graham, a longtime area resident, passed away on Friday January 13, 2017 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. She was 77 years of age. The daughter of the late Patrick O. and Helen Mason Graham, she was born on May 28, 1939 in Butler, NJ.
Florence retired from the Narrowsburg Library where she was a Librarian's assistant. A writer of poetry, she had several poems published. She also enjoyed writing songs.
Survivors include her son, R. James Terwilliger and his wife Marie of Pegram, TN; her daughters, Shannon Taylor and her husband Kenneth of Mongaup Valley, NY and Catherin Fahnestock of Carlisle, PA; her sister, Helen Zwinak and husband Joseph of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, James E. Terwilliger, Patrick Aaron Terwilliger, Zachary R. Taylor, Myshel Taylor, Kayla Wright and Christine Fahnestock who Florence helped raise and one great-granddaughter, Elisabeth. A brother, Frank Graham and a sister, Theresa Skibinski predeceased her.
Florence will be cremated as per her wishes.
A reception to celebrate her life will take place on Wednesday January 18, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at the Lava Fire House in Lava, NY.
