Patricia Mcdermott

Patricia “Patty” Mae (Wright) McDermott of Neversink, New York and Mims, Florida passed away on March 13, 2025. Born October 31, 1936 in Jeffersonville, New York, Patty was the beloved wife of the late Cyril “Mac” McDermott, who passed away in 1995. In addition, she was the loving partner to Anthony “Tony” Fairbairn also of Neversink, New York and Mims, Florida.. Patty was a devoted mother of her four children: the late Ruth Kearney and the late Thomas McDermott of Liberty, New York, Michael McDermott and his spouse, Frances of Ashburn, Virginia, and Patricia Anderson and her spouse, Ferdinand of Hopewell Junction, New York. Patty was a loving grandmother to Amanda Emery and her spouse, Michael, Matthew, John, and Christina McDermott, Dana Anderson and her fiancé, Adrian Selca, Alexander Anderson, and Shannon Kearney.
Patty was a previous member of the Neversink Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was an incredibly loving and compassionate person who approached every day with a spirit of energy and kindness. Her optimism, love of the outdoors, animals, line dancing, making pies, Halloween costumes and holiday decorating are just a few of the many happy memories created by her loving and cheerful spirit. Patty will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

A private burial will take place in Liberty, New York.
