Paul L. Phillips, of White Lake, NY, passed away on September 12, 2024 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 87.
He was the son of the late Arba Phillips and Lillian Bruchel, born on March 23, 1937 in Monticello, NY.
Paul proudly served his country in the US Army from 1954 until 1957. Paul turned his love of driving into a career as a truck driver for Yellow Freight until his retirement. In his free time he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing or in the vegetable garden. He was an avid reader who also liked listening to blue grass music; and he could often be found in shop, tinkering. He was a loving father who will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters Debora Fagan and her husband Leo of Montgomery and Lisa Eckert and her husband William of Walden; as well as brother-in-law Arnold and sister-in-law Sandy.
He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years Polly Pauline Phillips.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 1pm at Evergreen Cemetery, State Route 17 B, Bethel, NY with full military honors.
