Phyllis Smith

Phyllis Ann Smith of South Fallsburg passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Garnet Health Medical Center. She was 83.

She was the daughter of the late Mildred Mary Smith and Irving Robinson Smith, born on May 2, 1941, in Jamaica, NY.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend whose life was marked by her deep affection for animals, music, and family.

Phyllis was known for her love of family and animals. Her presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Phyllis is survived by her nieces Deborah King, Cheryl Waddell, and her nephews Bob Smith and David Smith and their extended families and her house mates at the Alport Residence and all of ARC the Greater Hudson Valley. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Smith.

Phyllis’s kind spirit and love for her family will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Her legacy will continue through the cherished memories she left behind.

A memorial service to celebrate Phyllis’s life will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 10-11:00am. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home with Father Ben Zirra at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Woodbourne Cemetery, Woodbourne, NY.
