Rachelle Wiener of Loch Sheldrake, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at home with her family by her side. She was 83.
She was the daughter of the late Jack Liss and Ida Cohen, born on October 5, 1940, in Manhattan, NY.
Rachelle was a teacher for many years for the NYC Board of Education, where she dedicated her life to students. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her, she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband Paul Wiener, her children Jeff (Tabitha) Wiener, Michael (Penny) Wiener, Merrie (Michael) Elliot, her grandchildren, Jacob, Allie, Justin, Jessica (Tucker), her great grandson Palmer Lee Lewis. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Sarah Lynn Wiener-Mauri.
A funeral service will be held at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 at 10:30am, with Rabbi Grossman. A burial will follow at Congregation Ohave Shalom Cemetery in Glen Wild.
