It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Ralph Coney Jr on August 8, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on February 5, 1959, Ralph was a man of profound kindness and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and community. Ralph was the beloved son of the late Ralph Coney Sr and Helen B Coney.
He was also predeceased by his brother-in-law, Bob Faraci, and nephew, Robert Faraci. Ralph's memory will be cherished by his loving children, Melinda (Don), Patrick (Nicole), and Elizabeth Coney. His fiancé, Debbie Bierstine, and his step-children, Eddie and Alana (Corey) Bierstine, and his sisters, Karen Faraci and Kimberley Thompson. The mother of his children, Lisa Coney, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends, who will forever hold him in their hearts. Ralph was the proud grandfather of four adoring grandchildren. He was especially close with his grandson Jayden.
A graduate of Liberty High School in 1977, Ralph dedicated 35 years of steadfast service at Ross Electric, where he was known not just for his expertise, but for his humor and generosity. His big heart and willingness to help anyone in need left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Ralph was a man of many passions. An avid fisherman, he found peace in the gentle rhythm of casting his line and the quiet anticipation of the catch. He also enjoyed hunting and spending time in nature, often riding through the countryside in search of deer. His love for bowling was well-known among his friends and family, who often shared in his enjoyment of the sport.
His commitment to community service was evident in his longtime membership with the Liberty Volunteer Ambulance, where he dedicated countless hours to helping those in need.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the White Sulphur Fire Department, EMS, and the staff at Garnet in Harris for their unwavering support and care during this difficult time. Their compassion and professionalism are deeply appreciated by all who loved Ralph.
Ralph's legacy is one of love, laughter, and selflessness. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and kind spirit will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Colonial Ramsay Funeral Home, 3534 State Route 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY from 11:00am-1:00pm. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00pm.
