Raymond K. Ball, affectionately known as "Big Ray" to his friends and family, passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 27. Born on May 10, 1999, Ray leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, friendship, and love that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Ray was a graduate of Ellenville High School and went on to build a career as a correctional officer. He took pride in staying strong, both physically and personally, and was happiest when he was weightlifting or spending time at the gym.

To know Ray was to know his unmistakable "nerd" side, which he embraced wholeheartedly. He had a deep love for Warhammer and Magic: The Gathering, and he especially enjoyed painting models. Some of Ray's happiest memories were made during the "nerd nights" he hosted in his basement with his friends. Gathered around games, models, and one another, they could always be found laughing, joking, and simply enjoying each other's company. Those nights reflected Ray perfectly-fun-loving, passionate about the things he enjoyed, and happiest when surrounded by the people he loved.

Above all, Ray was someone who made an impression. Whether he was known as Raymond, Ray, or "Big Ray," he was a beloved partner, son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin, and friend. His presence brought joy and laughter to the lives of many, and his absence will be deeply felt.

Ray is survived by his partner of 10 years, Destiny; his parents, Leonard Ball and Julia Robey; Rebecca and JR Roller; Jacob and Neveah Roller; his siblings, Danny, Melissa, Bridget, Amber, and Kayla; his nephew, Jesus LaSante; his grandmother, Joanne Ball; as well as his cousins, nephews, and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his aunt, Jean Marie Schwander.

Raymond was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. The memories of his laughter, his passions, his friendships, and the countless moments shared with him will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
