Regina LaBagh, a longtime area resident, passed away on Sunday April 12, 2015 at the Skilled Nursing Unit at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 98 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Raffaele and Anna Coppola Tufano and was born in Long Island City, NY on February 1, 1917. Regina was a member of St. Peter's Church in Liberty, NY and was a Past President of the Catholic Daughters.
She is survived by her two sons, Stephen Barbieri and his wife Carol of White Sulphur Springs, NY and John Barbieri and his wife Jane of Farmingdale, NY; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Regina was predeceased by her first husband, Stephen Barbieri and her second husband, Cortland LaBagh and by a daughter, Therese Walsh in 1979.
Visiting hours are on Friday April 17, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. Her funeral mass will be held on Saturday April 18 at 11:45 AM at St. Peter's Church, Liberty, NY. Monsignor Edward Straub will officiate. Burial will follow the mass at St. Peter's Cemetery in Liberty.
