Robert “Bob” Johnson, age 67, of Denville, New Jersey, passed away on March 7, 2025, at Westchester Medical Center. Born on May 21, 1957, Bob was the son of Leroy Johnson and was known to many as a kind, easygoing, and generous soul who lived life with a sense of joy and adventure.
Bob made a living as a plumber and handyman, always using his skill set to help those around him. He had a particular passion for restoring his beloved Jeep, a project that brought him much joy and satisfaction over the years. He also loved playing the drums, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends.
In his younger days, Bob enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, and camping. He was also an avid attendee of Blues festivals, where he could often be found soaking in the soulful music. Bob was a mellow, easy-to-talk-to person with a great sense of humor and an even greater ear for listening.
Bob is survived by his longtime companion, Carol Wilson, and her children Heidi, AnnMarie, Richard, and Susan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and his nephew and friend, Allen Decker. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
