Robert J. McKeon, Jr., 57, of Woodridge, NY, passed away on January 10, 2025. He was born on April 6, 1967, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Robert J. McKeon, Sr. and Ann Marie Senator.
Bobby, as he was known to all, was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He spent 41 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Hope McKeon, whom he married 31 years ago. Together, they raised two children, Corey (Brynn) and Ryan (Mandtasia), and were the proud grandparents of their beloved grandchildren, Keegan, Reign, Maeve and O'Ryan and “granddogs” Bodie and French. Bobby was especially fond of spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed creating memories with them.
Bobby was the supervisor of the Town of Fallsburg Water Department, where he was highly respected by his colleagues. He also dedicated many years of service as a past assistant fire chief with the Fallsburg Fire Department. Bobby was an active member of the Dart League at Dutch’s and the Neversink Horseshoe League, and his love for sports was evident in his passion for the Mets, Jets, and Syracuse basketball. He was also an avid hunter, a coach for Little League and Pop Warner football, and had a well-earned reputation as a jokester, always bringing laughter to those around him.
Bobby cherished the time he spent with his family and friends and was deeply loved by all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, Bobby is survived by his sister, Donna McGee, as well as aunts Dorothy Jackson (Jim), Linda Smith, and Roberta Molter (Terry).
A visitation will be held at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 on Sunday, January 19th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A firematic service will follow at 1:00 PM.
Bobby will be remembered for his humor, dedication, and love for his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
