Ron died peacefully on Saturday July 12, 2014, surrounded by his family, his devoted wife, Marilyn, daughter Ianine and devoted assistant, Edwin Pubil after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 77 years of age. The son of the late Joseph Lusker and Irene Jorgensen Lusker, he was born on January 28, 1937 in Chicago, IL. He was predeceased by two brothers, Gerry and Bill Lusker.
Ron was an artist, an inventor and a conservator of old buildings. He, together with his wife Marilyn, restored the century old building now known as "DeBruce Country Inn", located in the Catskills of New York State.
A Celebration of Ron's Life will be on Wednesday, July 16 from 5 - 8 PM at DeBruce Country Inn, 982 DeBruce Rd., DeBruce, NY 12758. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 17 at 10 AM at St. Peter's Church, 264 N. Main St. Liberty, NY. Burial will follow the mass at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NYU Langone Medical Center, 550 First Ave., New York, NY 10016; Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675 or to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
