Obituary

Rosemary Card of Cochecton, NY, passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 87.

Rosemary was a strong-willed and independent woman who lived life on her own terms. She cared deeply for those around her and had a remarkable ability to make friends wherever she went. She didn't dislike anyone-she truly was a friend to all.

Rosemary loved painting, sewing, crafts, and creating beautiful things. She took pride in looking her best and loved dressing nicely. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially days spent going out to eat and shop, taking a leisurely car ride to admire the scenery, or simply spending time with the people she loved.

Rosemary was also a devoted fan of country music, enjoying artists such as Billy Anderson and Patsy Cline. She treasured the time she spent with her family and especially enjoyed making memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Bri, Maverick, and Paisley.

Rosemary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lawrence Card Jr.; her mother, Alice Reagus; her brother, Phil Reagus; her granddaughter, Crystal; and her great-grandson, Lawrence.

She leaves behind her children, Lawrence Card III and his wife, Darlene Frances; Jimmy Card and his wife, Cindy Lou; John Card and his wife, Jacqueline Anne; Steve Card and his wife, Lisa Marie; and Karen Card-Doyon. She also leaves behind 36 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her longtime friend, Harvey Faust, and many other extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Rosemary's independent spirit, generous heart, creative nature, and love for the simple joys of life will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered not only for the things she created with her hands, but for the lasting memories she created with the people she loved.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a graveside service for Rosemary at Evergreen Cemetery on Route 17B in Bethel on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
