Ruth L. Bertholf, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away on Sunday November 19, 2017 in Plattsburgh, NY at the age of 86. Ruth, in her later years, moved to Plattsburgh to be with her daughter. Ruth was born on March 28, 1931 in Livingston Manor, NY and was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Mary Louise (Schenck) Roser.
Ruth was a member of Liberty Presbyterian Church and enjoyed her family, crafts and reading.
She leaves behind a son, Edward Bertholf of Troutman, NC; daughters, Barbara Crumley (William) of Lewis, NY and Linda O'Neal (Jonathan) of Kill Devil Hills, NC; sisters, Myrtle Henkelman of Liberty, NY and Ann Davis of Roscoe, NY; grandchildren, Kim Bean (Padraic) of Beekman Town, NY, Lee Crumley of Troutman, NC and Phillip Glendon of Kill Devil Hills, NC; great-grandchildren, Audrey and Conlan Bean and ten nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Albert C. Bertholf; brother, Robert Roser; grandson, John Glendon; brothers-in-law, William Henkelman and William Davis and a cousin, Marilyn Roser.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 11AM to 1 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. Funeral services will take place at Ramsay's Funeral Home at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Rd. Liberty, NY immediately following the services.
