Ruth Sweezer, of Monticello, passed on August 16, 2017 in Middletown, NY at the home of her daughter. The daughter of the late Solomon Rudolph and Agnes O'Bannon Rudolph, she was born on September 30, 1940 in Hurricane, Alabama.
Ruth had worked as a personal health care aide at various facilities in Sullivan County. She was the widow of Leonard Sweezer, who passed away on November 1, 2002.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Vera Rudolph and her companion Thomas Gabrielle of Middletown, NY and Valerie Rudolph of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Tynae Armstead and Dior Rudolph; one great-grandchild, Melah Yousef Rudolph; several step-children, and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many cousins.
Visiting hours are on Friday August 25, 2017 from 7 - 9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 55 St. John St. Monticello, NY. Funeral services will take place at 8 PM at the funeral home. Ruth's cremains will be buried at a later date with her husband in Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello, NY.
