Sally L. Bonnell

Sally L. Bonnell, age 81, of Grahamsville, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 24, 1943, to the late James Lyons and Augusta Niven.

Sally was a dedicated and hardworking individual, having served as a manager at the credit union for many years. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to her family and community. She was an active member of the Lady's Aide at Grahamsville Reformed Church, where she found joy in serving others.

In her free time, Sally enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including sewing, stamping, shopping, and traveling. She cherished her trips with her travel companion Fred, exploring new places and making lasting memories.

Sally is survived by her daughter, Kelly, and her husband Donovan Krzyzak; her grandchildren, Ashlyn Krzyzak, Noah Krzyzak, Wade Bonnell, and Hope Monforte; her brother, John Lyons and his wife Elizabeth, her daughter in law Patti Bonnell, her sister-in-law, Caroline Lyons; her niece, Heather Maces, and her nephew, Jim Dering. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Bonnell; her son, Scott Bonnell; her sister, Gina Dering and her brother-in-law Elmer; and her brother, James Lyons.

Sally will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and her ability to bring people together. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Memorial visitation will be on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 5-8:00pm. There will be a funeral service at the Grahamsville Reformed Church on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11:00am.

Donations in Sally’s name can be made to the Grahamsville Reformed Church or to Orange and Sullivan Hospice.
