Salvatore "Sal" Maltese, 92 of the Arc Greater Hudson Valley, NY Forestburgh IRA passed away peacefully at home on January 5th, 2023.
Sal, as he loved to be called, was a New Year's Day baby, born on January 1st, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to Salvatore Maltese and Juiseppina Campisi. Sal came to the ARC Greater Hudson Valley, NY, formally known as Sullivan ARC at the age of 21 where he made many lifelong friends who consider him a special party of their extended family. Sal will always be remembered for his love of Chinese Food, any Italian gangster movie, in particular The Godfather. He was most proud of his watch collection that he collected over the years. Sal leaves behind his brother Frank and sister in law Marie as well as many friends and he never failed to refer to each of them as his, "Buddy". Sal also leaves behind his girlfriend, Lisa who he viewed as the most important person in his life.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023 at 10:30am at the Colonial Memorial Funeral Home in Woodbourne, NY, with Chaplain Ben from Hospice officiating services at 11:30am.
His family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to all that loved and cared for Salvatore at the Arc Greater Hudson Valley, NY.
