Samuel V. "Sonny" LaPolt, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away on Friday October 31, 2014 at his home. He was 80 years of age. Sonny was the son of the late Samuel V. and Mary Ana White LaPolt Sr. and was born on July 28, 1934 in Monticello, NY.
He was a US Air Force Veteran and a retired plumbing contractor in White Lake, NY. He was also a longtime member of the Kauneonga Lake Fire Dept.
Survivors include sons, Keith LaPolt and his companion Tammy and Gary LaPolt, all of Smallwood, NY; his daughter Amy at home; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn J. LaPolt in April 2014 and by a brother Richard LaPolt.
Visiting hours are on Monday, November 3 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 3534 Rt 55, Kauneonga Lake. Funeral services will be at 1 PM at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be held at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty, NY.
