Stanley Zulanch, 76 of the Arc Greater Hudson Valley, NY Old Monticello IRA in Ferndale, NY passed away after a short illness on October 5, 2024, at Garnet Health – Catskills. Stanley was born the 20th of September 1948 in Manhattan, NY to joseph and Ann Zulanch.
Stanley was a very chatty, social and outgoing person. He would initiate conversation with anyone. Stanley will always be remembered for his love of music, in particular music from the 50’s and 60’s. Stanley was often found jamming out to tunes with his headphones on and tablet in his hand. He preferred to eat out and had many favorite dining establishments. He was always to “treat” his friends to dinner or a cup of coffee. He often said, “You can’t take the money with you”. He made sure no one forgot his birthday and would talk about it all year long!
Stanley had a wonderful personality and would often joke and kid around with his housemates and employees of Arc Greater Hudson Valley, NY. Stanley never forgot a face and would often greet everyone with, “How ya doing?” Stanley leaves behind many friends. Stanley was a past president of the Aktion Club. Stanley also participated in Self Advocacy Group and participated in the Alzheimer Walk.
Stanley is survived by his cousin, Eileen Kalter.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 Colonial Memorial Funeral Home 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne NY with Cantor Devoran Gartner officiating services at 12pm. Stanley will be laid to rest in Staten Island, NY.
