Steven Christy

Steven Christy, 72, of Monticello passed away on November 30, 2025. He was born on May 25, 1953 in New York City and relocated to the area from Staten Island in 1972.

Steven was known for his spirit and the joy he found in life’s simple pleasures. Steven loved taking walks, collecting old car models, enjoying winter weather, and going out to eat. He proudly participated in the Special Olympics and had a special gift for making friends wherever he went.

Predeceased by his good friends Dick and Sarah Read, Steven is survived by Dick’s daughters, Robin Read, and Lori Read and his many friends.

Steven will be remembered for his warmth, his enthusiasm, and the happiness he brought to others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
