Diescher
November 27, 1963 – May 14, 2026
Rural Cemetery
Starts at 10:00 am (Eastern time)
Rev. Paul Minton officiating
Steven Anthony Diescher, a lifelong resident of the area passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born to his mother Judy Kelly Diescher on November 27, 1963 in Liberty, NY.
He was fondly known as Steve to his family and Dewy to his friends. Steve was the proud father to his two beautiful daughters, Mary Lee and Stephanie, and to his son-in-law Greg, and a very proud Pepa to his two beautiful granddaughters, Chloe and Azariyah.
Steve leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lee and Greg Warren, his two granddaughters Chloe and Azariyah Warren, the mother of his children Louise Dayton, his chosen family, and many friends.
He is predeceased by his mother Judy Kelly Diescher, his grandmother Helen Kelly, daughter Stephanie Diescher, and his parent in-laws George "Stretch" and Mary Lee Haag.
Steve was a jack of all trades. He worked for inter county feeds, superior lumber, tended a bar in Parksville, drove trucks, worked for the post office services as a driver, and his most recent job was a dishwasher at Frost Valley YMCA. Steve loved working on cars and doing woodwork. He loved to take a piece of wood and turn it into something beautiful for his family. Steve also was a big George Jones fan. Coworkers would joke that you knew he was working because you would hear George Jones playing in the dishroom. Steve loved Elvis too. He could be found in the garage tinkering on any one of his hobbies.
Steve will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 10am, at Grahamsville Rural Cemetery in Grahamsville, NY 12740. Reverend Paul Minton will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in his name to Ulster County Hospice.
