Susan Helen Almon, of Smallwood, NY and Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away at her residence in Smallwood on Monday August 17, 2015. She was 64 years of age. The daughter of the late Helen Schmitt Almon and Joseph E. Almon, she was born in Queens, NY on August 28, 1951. Susan was a Registered Nurse for Kindred Health Care in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was also a paralegal.
Survivors include her brother, David J. Almon and his wife, Marianne, of Smallwood, NY; her niece, Jeaninne Bersito of Ossining, NY; nephew, Christopher Almon of Staten Island, NY; great-niece Juliet Almon of Staten Island and great-nephews, Daniel Almon of Staten Island and Aiden Bersito of Ossining.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday August 20, 2015 from 2 - 4 PM and 7 - 9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 3534 Route 55, Kauneonga Lake. Graveside funeral services will take place on Friday August 21 at 11 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, where Susan will be laid to rest beside her parents.
