Susan M. Stephenson, a lifelong Sullivan County resident, passed away on Wednesday October 25, 2017 at Catskill Regional Medical Center at the age of 68. She was the daughter of the late Otto Lowitz Sr. and Ellen Abplanalp Lowitz and was born in Monticello, NY on August 16, 1949.
Susan is survived by her sons, William Stephenson of Liberty, NY, Brett Lowitz of Liberty, NY and Jason Stephenson (Trish) of Neversink, NY; a daughter, Laura Schoonmaker of Roscoe, NY; a brother, Michael Lowitz of Woodbourne, NY; a sister, Melanie Ferber of Callicoon, NY; grandchildren Shelby and Cora Stephenson and several nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Emily Rapp of Lake Huntington, NY, who took care of Susan during her illness.. She was preceded in death by a bother Otto Lowitz Jr.
As per Susan's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Cremation was held at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middlehope, NY.
