Tara J. Staesser, retired operator of Sonoma Falls Campgrounds in Livingston Manor, passed away on Friday July 5, 2013 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. She was 74.
The daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Peek) Hanofee, she was born on May 11, 1939 in Tuckahoe, NY.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Staesser and her companion Gary of Grahamsville, NY; a special granddaughter, Lindsey; her son, William Staesser Jr. of Livingston Manor, NY; her brother, Martin Hanofee of Colorado; four grandchildren; one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her dear friends, Marty and Nancy, Marty and Serita, Dave, Nelson and Rita and a special thank you to her boss, Karen, for being there for Tara.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Karen and her husband, William Staesser.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday July 14, 2013 at 2 PM at Beaverkill Valley Cemetery, Beaverkill, NY.
