Tedarrel "Nig" Gray, of Woodbourne passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. He was 62.
He was the son of the late Zeno Odell Gray and Annie Louise Crandell born on July 13, 1962, in Washington, NC.
Tedarrel known to many as Teddy was a beloved man whose spirit touched all who knew him. A master mechanic with an unparalleled knack for fixing anything and everything, Teddy was a true craftsman whose talents were only rivaled by his generosity and warmth.
Tedarrel was a modern-day hippie at heart, embodying the carefree and rebellious spirit of the past with a love for rock and roll that defined his life. Whether it was hanging out with friends, sharing stories, or making light of any situation with his infectious sense of humor, Teddy had a way of bringing joy and laughter to those around him.
His passions extended beyond his work—he found peace and happiness in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing, cooking, and enjoying a good scratch-off ticket. He spent his younger years working on the farm, where he developed a deep appreciation for hard work and the outdoors. Ted's love for life was evident in everything he did, and he always had the best interests of others at heart, making him a "dude’s dude" who could be counted on for support, friendship, and a good laugh.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and unwavering loyalty. His memory will live on through the stories he shared, the lessons he taught, and the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his brothers Trent Gray, Terry Gray and his wife Romona, Troy Mckenzie, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of friends.
