Thomas K. "Murph" Murphy, a lifelong resident of Sullivan County, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday November 19, 2013. He was 50 years of age.
The son of Michael and Viola Murphy, he was born on November 8, 1963. Tom lived in Mongaup Valley, NY with his employer and best friend, Lloyd Ross. A proud veteran of the US Army, he was an avid outdoorsman and will be missed by all who knew him.
Tom was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his sisters, Bette Sheeley and her husband Dale of Rock Hill, NY, Patricia Neer and her husband Claud of Damascus, PA; his brothers, Timothy Murphy and his wife Sharon of Shawnee, PA and Bill Murphy and his wife Lisa of Cincinnati, OH; nieces, Danyne, Kelly and Kathleen and nephews, Chuckie, Jim and Keith.
The family will receive friends on Saturday November 23, 2013 from Noon to 2 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 3534 Route 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY. Services will be at 2 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in Tom's name.
