Vita Augurio, a resident of Liberty, NY, passed away on Saturday September 2, 2017 at Sullivan county Adult Care Center in Liberty, NY at the age of 82. She was the daughter of the late Francesco and Christina Taormina and was born on March 9, 1935 in Italy.

Vita was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Liberty, NY and was a retired garment worker, having worked for various firms in Brooklyn, NY for moving to Sullivan County from Queens, NY.

Survivors include her son, Pepe Augurio of Liberty and a sister, Maria Patty of Selden, NY.

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday September 6, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 7 at 11 AM at St. Peter's Church, 264 N. Main St. Liberty. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Liberty, NY.
