Warner Walter Waters III passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in Hyde Park. He was 66.
He was the son of the late Warner Walter Waters Jr. and Ruby Louise Waters (née Grant), born on March 2, 1959, at Sloane Hospital in New York, New York.
He resided at Willowbrook State Developmental Center and was later transferred to the Bennett House with the Community Resource Center. He attended the Fallsburg Day Program, Monday through Friday, with his friends. Due to a recent illness, he was then transferred to Renaissance Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center in Staatsburg, NY.
Warner liked to socialize with his staff and peers. You could often find him clapping his hands, singing, laughing, eating and drinking. He always had a cup of coffee or juice in his hand. Warner loved to go for walks with his staff and loved to listen to music. He always appeared very happy and content. Sometimes on the overnight shift, Warner would laugh and sing. When staff checked on him, he would burst out laughing. Warner will always be remembered by the way he would communicate by saying eeh- eeh. Warner leaves behind to cherish his memory his extended family at the Arc Greater Hudson Valley and his sister, Grace Ocasio; brother-in-law, Edwin Ocasio; and his beloved niece, Chloe.
