It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Warren E. Hermann, 82, of Grahamsville, who passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 10, 1943, in Union City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Edward Hermann and Dorothy (Schmitter) Hermann. For many years, Warren worked as a dedicated bus mechanic, admired for his strong work ethic and reliability.
Warren loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing, hunting, camping, or snowmobiling. He cherished his loyal golden retriever, Pickles, along with the many dogs that shared his life through the years. Country music could be heard playing in his truck or in the garage where he tinkered on pet projects. As a history enthusiast, he watched many History Channel programs and enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife, Elizabeth. Together, they visited small towns, toured historical sites and battlefields, and explored many interesting locations, always returning with stories and photos to share with the family.
Above all, Warren's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his two sons: Eric Hermann and his wife Megan, and their daughter Logan, of Timonium, Maryland; and David Hermann and his wife Alica, and their sons, David and Max, of Grahamsville, NY. He is also lovingly remembered by the family of his late daughter, Lee McDevitt, her husband Michael, and their sons, Michael and Nick, of Fountain, Colorado.
Warren was predeceased by his beloved wife, Elizabeth "Liz" Hermann, and his daughter, Lee McDevitt.
He leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Logan, David, Max, Michael, and Nick, who will carry forward his love, humor, and spirit.
In keeping with his wishes, services were held privately. A celebration of Warren's life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Memorial Funeral Home. For further information, please call 845-434-7363.
