William Davis, better known as Samir, of Monticello, passed away peacefully at his home after a short illness on Friday March 25, 2016. Born on October 11, 1943 in the Bronx, he was the son of the late William and Beatrice Davis Sr. He was 72 years of age. Samir was a recovery counselor for Veritas in Barryville, NY.
He is survived by his five children, Sayieda Davis, Malika Davis, Adeyla Davis, Shakur Davis and Elijah Davis; his dear friend, Lorraine Bost; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
William will always be remembered for his amazing spirit, kind heart and passion to help others.
As per William's wishes, cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope. NY.
