William Davis, a lifelong resident of Swan Lake, NY, passed away on Sunday October 11, 2015 at Achieve Rehab & Nursing Facility in Liberty, NY. He was 74. Born on June 24, 1941, he was the son of the late Chester Davis Sr. and Isabelle King Davis.

He was a US Army Veteran, having served from 1960 - 1963 during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Liberty Elks Lodge #1545, Liberty, NY; a member of Swan Lake Fire Department and a member of International Order of Old Bastards.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Grace Price Davis at home; sons, Fred (Marie) Ernst of Wylie, Texas, Brian (Lorie) Davis of Wylie, Texas and Keith Davis of Oneonta, NY; a brother, Chester (Anita) Davis of Swan Lake, NY; sister-in-law, Evelyn Davis of Swan Lake, NY; 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Rev. Kenneth Davis, Richard Davis and sisters, Lois Davis and Edith Gabrielsen.

Graveside and Military Services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 1 PM at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery. Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.
