Durham, North Carolina formerly of Sullivan County
William E. Koberlein, a former resident of Sullivan County, passed away at his home in Durham, NC on Saturday June 24, 2017 after battling lung cancer for five years. He was 61 years of age.
William was born in Liberty, NY on January 7, 1956 to the late Ernest and Ruth Koberlein of Swan Lake, NY. He was a graduate of Monticello High School, Class of 1974. He worked in the construction industry.
He is survived by his brother, Ronald (Carolyn) Koberlein of Binghamton, NY and sisters, Linda (Jay) Greenblatt of Red Hook, NY, Shirley (Albert) Fick of Springbrook Township, PA and Suzanne Filipovits of Hanover, PA. William was a wonderful uncle to his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, EO 3rd Class Charles E. Koberlein.
Visitation will be on Friday June 30, 2017 from Noon to 2 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 3534 Route 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 2 PM with Rev. Kenneth Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at Evergreen Cemetery, Bethel, NY immediately following the services.
Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice.
