Wilmot Jenkins, of Monticello, passed away on Monday July 15, 2013 at his home, one day after his wife Doris M. Jenkins passed away. He was 75.
The son of the late Thomas and Nancy Walker Jenkins, he was born on May 13, 1938 in South Carolina. He had worked at Wrights Finishing Co. of Monticello, NY.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Nona Gibbs of Summerville, SC and Janette Hodges of New Jersey; a brother, Woody Walker of South Carolina; a sister-in-law, Queen West of Andrews, SC; six children, Leah Mealing, Michelle Kelly, Jeffrey Jenkins, Issiac Jenkins, Phillip Jenkins, and Charles Jenkins, all of South Carolina; 22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, friends and other relatives. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris M. Jenkins on July 14, 2013.
Visitation will take place on Friday July 19, 2013 from 7 - 9 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 55 St. John St. Monticello. Funeral services will be on Saturday July 20 at the First Baptist Church of Monticello, 29 Liberty St. Monticello, NY at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery, Cold Spring Rd. Liberty, NY.
