Zoraida "Rose" Hernandez

Zoraida "Rose" Hernandez, of Swan Lake, NY, passed away on Tuesday July 18, 2017 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY. She was 71. She was born on June 11, 1946 in Puerto Rico to the late Juan Rosa and Maria Correa Rosa. Zoraida helped many children as a foster parent and she ran an emergency foster home in Sullivan County for over 20 years.
She leaves behind her husband, Eriberto Hernandez at home; sons, Stephen Rodriguez of Gardiner, NY, Edwar Hernandez of Florida and E.J. Hernandez of Woodbourne, NY; daughters, Emily Rodriguez of Monticello, NY, Celina Hernandez of Troy, NY and Carmen Hernandez of White Lake, NY; her sister, Gloria I. Rosa of Bronx, NY; 10 grandchildren, Gloria, Erik, Mariel, Mikayla, Grace, Peter, Bob, Jared, Maniah and Aubrey and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Juan Rosa Jr.
Visiting hours are on Saturday July 22, 2017 from 2-4 PM at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 3534 Route 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 3 PM with Rev. Kenneth Rodgers officiating.
